A break away in the desert

This weekend was a three day weekend, and so a few of us teachers went on an adventure desert camping. 

Yes... I was truly there!

This is the lovely desert in which we camped... sand for miles!!

We had a great evening of moonlight, campfire, and laughter

The sunset was amazing and created a great opportunity
for getting shadow pictures (random strangers)

The different ways that the sun hit the sand
the next morning were amazing as well!

I watched the sun rise as I sat and read a book up on the dunes

These are my footprints in the sand.. which was cool all day / night despite the sunshine.
It felt like walking on soft snow (but not as cold)!
